New Call of Duty 4 Maps On The Way!

This is from Destructoid:

You see that headline? Sadly, that's all of the real information we have. But
allow me to restate it using more words -- Activision has announced plans to
released downloadable multiplayer maps for Call of Duty 4. The maps will be
available for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, and will "thrust
gamers
into a hot zone of added combat across a variety of intense
multiplayer
locales."
Well, I'd certainly hope so.
"We've excited
about the new maps,
and the added gameplay variety," said Infinity Ward's
Community Manager Robert
Bowling, "and we can't wait to wrap things up and
get online with
everyone."
"Added gameplay variety," eh? We look forward
to more details. In
the meantime, continue to play all of the old Call of
Duty 4 maps as you had
already planned on doing ... because the game is
awesome. We'll let you know
when we hear some actual information.

Let's hope Infinity Ward waits until March so Lee can get his paper done.

More maps! I would like a couple of urban-type maps like what they used on Rainbow 6. I hope all the bugs are worked out before they are released. More maps + Call of Duty 4 = more time away from Halo.
